What is it?
Radon is a colorless, odorless, tasteless radioactive gas that’s formed during the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water. Radon exits the ground and can seep into your home through cracks and holes in the foundation, and can also contaminate well water. Radon is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer next to cigarette smoking. Approximately 22,000 deaths a year are attributed to radon. Every 25 minutes someone in the United States is diagnosed with radon-induced lung cancer. A simple test can save a life! RDS is a NEHA certified Radon testing and mitigation contractor.
